Christian Christensen is Professor of Journalism at the Department of Media Studies. Christian obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin in 2001. His recent publications have addressed the relationship between whistleblowing, transparency, journalism and politics (with an emphasis on WikiLeaks), as well as on the use of social media in political and journalistic work. He is currently involved in a number of projects, including an EU FP7 study on media and democratization, and a project on the use of social media by Swedish journalists. Christian is also a regular contributor to The Guardian newspaper, and a number of other international outlets.
