Amir Shahzad is a PhD candidate at the University of Vienna, Department of Communication and conducting his research under the supervision of Professor Dr. Katharine Sarikakis. His research focuses on “Exploring Austrian Media Representation towards Cultural Image Building about Migrants; An Analysis”. He holds the degrees of M.Sc. and MS in Media and Communication Studies from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. Amir Shahzad has been serving as Assistant Information Officer with the Press Information Department, Islamabad. He has served in various Federal Ministries of Pakistan as Public Relations Officer, gaining extensive experience in media management. Shahzad has also been teaching as visiting scholar, both at undergraduate and graduate levels in International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He has served as an analyst in different seminars and conferences regarding various current issues and problems of media and society in Pakistan.
