Engin Deniz Ipek is currently pursuing his master studies in the Communication Science master program at the University of Vienna. His research interests are journalism, news consumption and media effects. He started his academic journey through a Political Science and Public Administration bachelor's in Ankara, Turkey at Bilkent University. During his bachelor's, he started to take an interest in the media and journalism and worked in magazines and newspapers in different positions such as translator, editor, and writer. After he finished his bachelor's studies, he worked as a journalist for two years in Turkey. Besides that, he played soccer both in professional and semi-professional levels for more than 8 years. He is also interested in photography, photoshop and history.
